I know most of these are commonly asked and besides, I can't make a reddit or access it.
1.(As probably asked the most) Are we gonna have an early release version on gamejolt? 2.Are we gonna name our saves? 3.Although the game does feature the Undertale "BulletHell" system in a similar fashion, is the Fight, Act, Item, and Mercy GUI gonna be similar to Final Fantasy's as there are multiple active main characters? 4.Would the decisions you make besides "Recessive acting(Humming to Shyren for later use for example), Hanging out with certain characters, Mercy(including fighting to spare) and killing" have an impact on the endings? 5. Would one of the characters dying result in a game over or another route ending difference?

1) If you mean the demo, then very early.
2) I'll tell TJ to let you name your saves.
3) I've never played Final Fantasy. Probably not.
4) Maybe.
5) Death is very sad.

It'd be cool (albeit unrealistic) if a character in the main party could actually die in a non-story related environment (e.g against a froggit rather than the final boss) but I reckon that if a party member hits 0 hp (and you win) then once the battle is over they'll be at 1 hp.

Why would it be unrealistic? In the real world, great warrior who fought thousants died from a infection they got from a small cut in their toe. I don't see why dying to a froggit would be 'unrealistic'.

I meant in terms of games. Of course it's 'realistic' for people who die in combat to actually die and not trigger a game over - however in a video game this is far less likely, thus being 'unrealistic'.

when/if a character dying affecting the story would be cool, but the game would either have to be made a lot easier or be really hard, due to characters dying permanently.

1.) Are we gonna have an early release version on GameJolt? A.) The demo? Yeah, of course! After that, likely not. We'll want to focus on having one single master build to work on until completion.
2.) Are we gonna name our saves? A.) Overtale won't have a system where you can name your save files, similar to games like The Elder Scrolls - instead, we're going for a carbon-copy of Undertale's one-file save/load system.
3.) Although the game does feature the Undertale "Bullet Hell" system in a similar fashion, is the Fight, Act, Item, and Mercy GUI gonna be similar to Final Fantasy's as there are multiple active main characters? A.) The combat HUD is incredibly similar to Undertale, with a few twists. The FIGHT, ACT, SKILL, ITEM and MERCY GUI icons will appear exactly as the four from Undertale did. Some new GUI elements are present to help track each party member's attributes, status and current turn.
4.) Would the decisions you make besides "Recessive acting(Humming to Shyren for later use for example), Hanging out with certain characters, Mercy(including fighting to spare) and killing" have an impact on the endings? A.) Most of the player's power to influence the story is carried over from Undertale, including opting to take lethal/non-lethal approaches, talking to/doing favours for certain NPCs, discovering certain locations and saving/loading.
5.) Would one of the characters dying result in a game over or another route ending difference? A.) Can't answer this one right now. Keep this one in your head for next time!

Alright, I didn't expect my questions to be completely answered like that, but thanks for letting me know.
